This time, he had to scoff, the noise was loud in the otherwise silent surroundings, “Granger, you just- in all intents and purposes- called me unoriginal then proceeded to call me “Ferret.” That insult got old a long time ago. I was a ferret once, the boy who can’t afford to live, will always be a Weasel.”

 He sighed heavily, just taking the piss now, “It’s great to know that you’re a low priority on anyone’s list, your “best friend’s” included..but, as anyone else can (unfortunately) I can be where I want to be.” He then leaned against a wall, simply observing the girl in front of him, his tone then softened, he had no idea why he did so.. But seeing her cry over the fucking Weasel.. It pissed him off more than it should, “Trust me when I say this pains me, Granger, but you shouldn’t cry over it.. I mean, him. He’s truly not worth your tears.” After he spoke he realised what he said and hastily added, “I mean, there must be someone who’s equally inferior but has high enough IQ to wipe his own arse.”

Her eyes widened at his random outburst, “I know what I called you, ferret.” Her voice stressed on the word “ferret”, and she quirked an eyebrow, “You seem to have quite a few insults stocked up for Ronald. How long did it take you to come up with them? Thinking about him more often than not, are you, Malfoy?”

With a roll of her eyes, she pushed herself off of the floor as he leaned against the opposite one. “Think what you want.” She muttered simply, lifting one shoulder in a subtle shrug. She was tired of defending her friend against Malfoy’s never ending queue of insults. She defends him, and she still gets hurt. With hopes that the darkness of the corridor hid her actions, she hastily rubbed the back of her hand across her eyes to dry them completely, “Do you ever get tired of being so rude and immature? I mean, do you ever have the urge to actually… you know… grow up?”
